A test of the BC Emergency Alert system will be happening this afternoon.
At 1:55 p.m. (PST), BC Emergency Alerts will sound its test on radio, TV, and cell phones.
Other provinces and territories are also testing their systems today.
In an emergency, the alerts go out to provide urgent, life-saving information.
Today though, at 1:55 p.m. - it’s just a test.
