It’s very early in the season, and western Canada is already seeing evacuation orders because of wildfires.

An Evacuation Order and a BC Emergency Alert have been issued by the Peace River Regional District for properties in the Red Creek and Lower Cache areas due to the Red Creek wildfire.

Impacted residents were given the order Saturday and told to register with ESS to keep everyone accounted for.

The situation is bad in Alberta,as well, with the province under a state of emergency.

Alberta's Emergency Management Agency says several communities are affected.

Others are under evacuation alerts and residents are preparing to flee.

31 fires are out of control in Alberta with more than 30-thousand people out of their homes.
