Residents of Strathcona Regional District Electoral Area C will soon have another opportunity to influence how their communities grow and change.
The regional district is developing a new Official Community Plan and will present its draft policy direction at three public events beginning October 20.
The proposed policies have been shaped by two years of public input gathered through surveys, workbooks, open houses and community meetings.
Residents will now be able to review that work, ask questions and provide further feedback on whether the proposed direction reflects the future they want for their communities.
Two drop-in open houses will be offered on Quadra Island.
The first takes place October 20 at the Quadra Island Legion, followed by another October 22 at the Quadra Island Library.
Both sessions will be open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., allowing residents to stop by at any point during the day.
Residents of the Outer Discovery Islands are invited to a community meeting at the Surge Narrows Bunkhouse on October 21.
That event runs from 1 until 3 p.m.
Anyone unable to attend can visit Strathcona Regional District to learn more, see the ‘What We Heard’ summaries from past engagement and subscribe to receive notifications about upcoming opportunities to participate.
