Island Health has issued a drug poisoning advisory for Comox Valley.
The advisory was issued yesterday saying that drug poisonings are on the rise, and those using unregulated drugs are facing an increased risk.
Island Health says if you suspect someone of overdosing, call 911 immediately, give one breath every five seconds, and administer Naloxone if available.
See Island Health’s Harm Reduction Services page to find information on overdose prevention and supervised consumption sites, drug-checking services and more.
