The Downtown Comox Summer Fest is fast approaching - coming up Saturday, June 28th.

Celebrating all that the Comox has to offer, organizers say it’s an opportunity for the community to come together, get in on all the fun and support local businesses.

Mayor Nicole Minions says the festival serves as the heartbeat of the town, showcasing its vibrant culture, creativity, and spirit.

“Whether you’re a long-time resident or a visitor looking to soak in the local charm, we invite everyone to join us for a fun-filled day that highlights the very essence of Comox,” she said.

In addition to live music Nearly 70 local crafters and artisans will be showcasing their creations, arts and services, what the Town calls a perfect opportunity to shop for unique gifts and other treasures while supporting local talent.

There will also be live demonstrations, special menu offerings from local eateries, and giveaways.

Comox Business in Action Board President Peter Chambers says Comox’s  vibrant mix of family-owned businesses - from unique retail boutiques to top-notch restaurants, cafes, and pubs - makes the community special.

He also noted that with the sewer conveyance project moving through town, supporting local small businesses has never been so important.

“We are also deeply appreciative of the Town of Comox for their unwavering support. Together, we are building a thriving downtown that reflects the warmth and spirit of our community.”

Comox Avenue will be closed on June 28th from Church Street to Port Augusta Street from 8:00am to 6:00pm and organizers are asking people to consider using transit to get to the event.
