The Dingwall Steps in East Courtenay are ready to go.
The City says the stairs are now fully functional and can be used starting immediately.
The only component yet to be completed is the lighting installation, this phase is expected to be finalized by mid-February.
The Dingwall Steps project creates a formal trail connection from Dingwall Road to Carmanah Drive and beyond – filling a gap in the network for pedestrians and cyclists travelling to and from North Island College, Queneesh Elementary School, the hospital, transit connections, and the commercial centre at Ryan and Lerwick Road.
The top of the trail provides a scenic viewpoint overlooking Courtenay and the Comox Glacier.
