The City of Campbell River is preparing to begin demolition work as part of plans to expand parking at the Big Rock Boat Ramp.
Demolition will begin Tuesday on the structure at 1021 Island Highway, next to the existing boat ramp parking lot.
The work is expected to continue through Friday, June 5th.
During construction, the parking lot at 1047 Island Highway will be closed, and portions of the Big Rock Boat Ramp parking area may also be temporarily shut down for short periods.
The city says residents and visitors can expect intermittent closures in the southern section of the boat ramp area, near the work site, and are being asked to follow all posted signs and directions.
The demolition is part of the City’s ongoing project to expand parking capacity at the popular waterfront boat launch.
