It's debate time. The Campbell River & District Chamber of Commerce, The Campbell River Mirror and the Tidemark Theatre Society are co-hosting a series of debates for all local candidates running in the BC Municipal Election on October 15th.

The public is invited to attend in-person or virtually over the next couple of weeks.

Electoral Area Directors are first off the mark with a debate Tuesday night at the Tidemark Theatre. Seating is on a first come first serve basis.

The other option is to watch the debates live on the Campbell River Mirror Facebook page or the live stream on the Tidemark Theatre website.

The final option is to watch the recordings as they will be posted 24 hours after the event on both the Chamber's YouTube channel and the Mirror Website.

Wednesday night, the Mayoral candidates will debate.

As there are 14 council candidates, to ensure there is time for everyone to speak, the council debates are being divided into three separate nights: Thursday, September 22nd along with Monday September 26th, and Wednesday the 28th.

School Trustee candidates will debate on October 5th.
