A lengthy, but temporary road closure is in place beginning today in Campbell River on 6th Avenue between Alder Street and Island Highway.
The closure will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays to facilitate storm main, sanitary main, water main, and road surface replacements.
Local traffic and emergency vehicle access will be available.
Two-way traffic will be in place for most of the work, but intermittent disruption on the Island Highway at 6th Ave will occur, and single-lane alternating traffic may be in place at times.
Traffic disruption on Thulin Street between 5th and 6th Avenue may also occur.
Work is expected to last through September.
For more information on this project and anticipated disruptions, email capital.projects@campbellriver.ca or call (250) 286-5756.
