Registration for the summer portion of the Comox Valley Recreation Guide begins later this month.
The summer portion of the guide includes programs and classes from July 1 until August 31 and features activities from CVRD Recreation Services, Courtenay Recreation, Comox Recreation, Cumberland Recreation, and 19 Wing Comox.
Registration for the summer programming begins on Monday, April 27 at 8 am.
Programming will look different this year, as the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre will be closed for maintenance between June 27 to September 7.
Jennifer Zbinden, Senior Manager of Recreation Services, notes it is a challenge to the public in closing facilities, but the benefit is that aging mechanical systems at the Aquatic Centre will be replaced with efficient heat pumps that will heat, cool, and dehumidify the facility, which will improve the overall user experience.
