The CVRD is looking for input on a tourism strategic plan for the Comox Valley.
There was a workshop scheduled to take place Wednesday, January 17, 2024, where residents can share insights, and provide ideas and input on key strategic initiatives and opportunities for tourism in the Comox Valley.
The event has now been postponed to a later date due to weather.
The CVRD says it recognizes the immense potential of the Comox Valley as a visitor destination and has begun a planning initiative with a 10-year scope, partnering with 4VI and Experience Comox Valley to administer the project.
It aims to engage local residents, businesses, stakeholders and rightsholders to design a tourism strategy together, that “aligns with the region's values, sustains its natural resources and maximizes economic benefits.”
The CVRD will announce a new date for the workshop in the near future.
