The Comox Valley Regional District is getting set for Watershed Awareness Days, running May 27th to the 31st.
The District is inviting residents and visitors to explore the Comox Lake Watershed through guided walks, talks, and family activities, where they’ll learn how this necessary ecosystem supports the area’s drinking water.
The Comox Lake Watershed supplies water to over 50,000 people. Despite a long history of industrial use and recreation, protecting the watershed remains essential to maintaining safe, clean water.
You can find a list of activities at Watershed Awareness Days.
The CVRD’s Connected by Water program, developed through the Comox Lake Watershed Protection Plan, works with local partners to support education, stewardship, and water conservation.
