The Village of Cumberland is planning upgrades to Penrith Avenue and is looking for community input on how to move forward.
The Village says Penrith Ave., between First Street and Third Street, is a vital connection in the community, just one block from Dunsmuir Avenue.
Whether you walk, bike, roll, or drive, the Village says the corridor plays a crucial role in how locals navigate the neighbourhood.
They are planning upgrades to improve safety, accessibility, and long-term service reliability, and want to hear from residents.
From July 14 to August 4, residents can review the proposed improvements and take a short survey.
Also, on July 15th, there will be a community event at the corner of First Street and Penrith Avenue, from 430-6pm.
Feedback will help inform the final design, which we will share in the fall of 2025.
The Village says they’re looking for safer sidewalks for all ages and abilities, better access to local businesses and services, smarter parking and smoother mobility, and upgraded underground utilities for reliable service.
To take the survey (Opens on July 14, 2025), or for more information, visit Village of Cumberland.
