A survey on the development of the City of Courtenay’s Accessibility Plan is now live.
It’s running til January 16 at City of Courtenay.
The plan will identify, remove, and prevent barriers that make it difficult for people to access municipal programs, services, information, and facilities.
Residents completing the survey can share experiences with a range of barriers - including physical, attitudinal, communication, technological, and systemic barriers - across key areas such as transportation, employment, service delivery, housing, the built environment, and information access.
A year-round public feedback tool is already available, and the new survey will act as a deeper opportunity for residents to contribute.
The Accessibility Plan will be published in late spring 2026, with updates required at least every three years.
