Courtenay Recreation is giving children a night out next month—and giving their parents a few hours to themselves.
The new Kids Night Out program will be held Friday, October 16, at the Lewis Centre for children between five and 11 years old.
The three-hour program will feature games, crafts, gym time and other supervised activities, giving children plenty of opportunities to have fun and burn off some energy.
Participants are encouraged to bring their favourite snacks and can even arrive in their pyjamas for a comfortable evening of activities.
While the kids enjoy their night at the Lewis Centre, parents can use the time to run errands, enjoy dinner or simply take a short break.
Kids Night Out runs from 5 until 8 p.m. and costs $20 per child.
Advance registration is required.
