Courtenay residents will once again have access to a seasonal yard waste drop-off site this November.
The temporary collection point at the end of McKenzie Avenue will be open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting November 1st through the 28th.
The free program is available to City residents who receive curbside collection and have extra yard waste that won’t fit in their regular bins.
Accepted items include leaves, grass clippings, flowers, plants, and small branches under three inches thick.
City staff are reminding residents to remove any non-organic materials like plastic pots or packaging before dropping off their yard waste.
Those who need help unloading can contact City Operations at 250-338-1525.
For more information about the program or curbside organics collection, visit City of Courtenay.
