The City of Courtenay has released details on upcoming Canada Day Celebrations.
Two days of free, family events will be held on June 30 and July 1 in downtown Courtenay and Lewis Park.
Courtenay Mayor Bob Wells says Canada Day is a chance for families, friends and neighbours to come together and enjoy a full day of free community fun.
The Night Before Concert at Lewis Park runs from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and includes community performances, cultural programming, food, vendors and live music.
On Wednesday, July 1, the day starts downtown with the Comox Valley Concert Band performing at 9 a.m. at Randy Wiwchar Plaza, in front of the Sid Williams Theatre.
The 5th Street Mile fun run begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Canada Day parade from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. along 5th Street, along with more to do at Lewis Park.
There will also be a free public swim at the Courtenay and District Memorial Outdoor Pool from noon to 5 p.m.
