Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock 2023 is getting underway this weekend.
The 1200 kilometre tour winds through the Island until October 6th, kicking off tomorrow in Port Alice, with law enforcement & emergency services personnel raising money for childhood cancer research & support services at the Canadian Cancer Society.
On Sunday, riders will be in Port Hardy and Port McNeil, and hitting up Woss, Sayward, Campbell River, Courtenay, and Comox the first few days of next week.
Donations are used to fund life-saving pediatric cancer research & caring support programs like Camp Goodtimes, with Ajinkya Chodankar from Courtenay Fire Rescue and Kirk Wolstenholme from Parksville Fire Rescue as part of the team.
