We are in the second week of the new school year and community members are being reminded about distracted driving and speeding.
Comox Valley Citizens on Patrol Society (COPS) are out this month along with Comox Valley RCMP.
The Secretary/treasurer of COPS, Michele Jones, says the group supports the RCMP by being their extra eyes and ears in the community.
“In September, we are targeting school zones, watching for excess speeding, and distracted drivers.”
Members of COPS, with their recognizable vehicle, will be out at various times during each weekday around school zones in the Comox Valley.
