Starting this month, work will begin at Comox Valley Airport on a major construction project to expand the aircraft apron.
In an update, YQQ says the work will allow for more and larger aircraft, but it comes with short-term challenges.
During construction, portions of the northwest gravel parking lot will be closed.
That includes most spots being removed temporarily, but some permanently.
As a result, overall parking capacity will be reduced through to October.
The Airport is “strongly” encouraging travellers to plan for extra time to park, or consider, if possible, to get a ride there.
