Construction is underway on a couple projects in Campbell River that might cause some traffic disruptions.
Work is underway on Detweiler Rd between the Gold River Highway and Oleary Avenue as part of a culvert replacement project and general roadway upgrades including road water management and repaving.
Also, work on Petersen Road & Old Petersen Road between the Willis Road and Campbell River Golf Club as part of offsite upgrades for a townhouse development.
The project will include general upgrades that will provide pedestrian walkways and require repaving.
Work will last at both sites until the end of October.
Single Lane Alternating Traffic will occur in and around both work zones.
A road closure on Old Petersen Road (closest to Willis Road) will be happening intermittently to allow for an expedited work schedule for that portion of the work.
Watermain work at both sites will at times interrupt local water service with crews communicating the exact date(s) of the interruption for residents in the coming days.
