Comox Valley Schools is seeking feedback on the proposed school calendars for the next three school years: 2026-2027, 2027-2028 and 2028-2029.
The calendars focus on Instructional Days, Professional Development Days, NonInstructional Days, Vacation periods, and Statutory Holidays and are not meant to address specific school related events. They need to meet instructional hours set by the Ministry of Education and Child Care.
The feedback window is open until March 14 – more info at https://www.comoxvalleyschools.ca/proposed-school-calendars-survey
Earlier this month, School District 72 set its calendars for the next three years based on feedback from Campbell River parents and staff.
One change of note in SD72 - the first day of the new school year will move to Wednesday, instead of the typical Tuesday after Labour Day. That day will instead be used as a professional development day.
