Comox Valley Schools is notifying families of key registration dates and new program offerings for the 2026-27 school year.

Several expanded options will be available, including a new K/1 Indigenous Kindergarten at Aspen Park Elementary, a broadened ENTER Program proposed for kindergarten to Grade 7, and an expanded Pathways Learning Community that will now serve Kindergarten to Grade 5.

Expressions of Interest for the district’s choice programs open January 13.

This includes French Immersion at École Robb Road and École Puntledge Park, Montessori at Queneesh and Courtenay, the new K/1 Indigenous program at Aspen Park and École Puntledge Park, ENTER K-7 at Aspen Park, and the Pathways Learning Community at Airport Elementary.

Entry into these programs will be determined by lottery rather than first come, first served. Siblings of current students, along with Indigenous students applying to the Indigenous K/1 program, will receive priority as long as their Expression of Interest is submitted before January 16.

Most students attend their neighbourhood school, and registration for regular kindergarten will begin Tuesday, January 20.

Expressions of Interest for the late-French Immersion program at École Puntledge Park open January 26 and close January 30.

Registration for Compass and FAe Kindergarten will take place in February, with dates posted on the district’s website.

All Navigate program registrations are completed online at navigatenides.com.

A series of open houses will be held for families wanting more information on specific programs - you can find more info at Comox Valley Schools.
