A series of public sessions kick off today as the Comox Valley Regional District looks to boost tourism in the Comox Valley for the next decade.
The CVRD says the plan will help guide sustainable tourism development while ensuring economic growth and social well-being in the region.
Experience Comox Valley, the CVRD’s Tourism Service, is engaging local residents, businesses, stakeholders, and rights holders to help design a tourism strategy that aligns with the region's values, sustains its natural resources and maximizes economic benefits.
“The CVRD is excited to be working with 4VI and Experience Comox Valley in developing the ten year tourism strategic plan. Being such a beautiful destination that attracts visitors, this plan will help guide sustainable tourism development while ensuring economic growth and social well-being in the region,” explains CVRD Board Chair Jesse Ketler.
An information session takes place today online - it starts at 3pm - the first of a series of public sessions, workshops, and one-on-one consultations in the coming months.
You can find more information at Engage Comox Valley.
