The Comox Valley Regional District Board of Directors has approved a Strategic Plan through 2026.
The board completed a strategic planning session in June to help guide the focus for their 2023-2026 term of office. Strategic planning helps to identify the Board’s goals and line them up with the CVRD’s service delivery.
The plan targets eight core services that cover planning for sustainable growth in targeted development areas, improving recreation services, growing agricultural opportunities, and protecting the environment, which includes preparing for climate change and emergency preparedness.
CVRD Board Chair Jesse Ketler says they are committed to ensuring all residents have access to services - and feel they belong.
The Board has prioritized several initiatives related to building sewer infrastructure, supporting the agricultural sector and addressing housing affordability in the Comox Valley.
