Comox Valley First Responders and Canadian Armed Forces members will be squaring off again against the Comox Valley Glacier Kings.
This year's charity hockey game will be on Friday, December 6th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.
Building on the success of last year’s game, which raised $21,000, the community is setting its sights even higher this year.
All funds raised will go directly to life changing programs on Vancouver Island, supporting trauma exposed professionals and their families as they navigate the mental health challenges that often come with serving in uniform.
Sergeant Rob Brennan, one of last year’s runners for the Wounded Warrior Run BC, is passionate about the strong connection between the community and this vital cause, saying last year’s support was overwhelming.
The funds raised stayed on Vancouver Island, helping Veterans, First Responders, and their families feel supported, understood, and not alone.
Organizers say the Second Annual Charity Hockey Game is quickly becoming a cornerstone event for the Comox Valley, embodying the region’s spirit of compassion and resilience.
The evening will feature an opening ceremony, emergency vehicles, silent auction, information booths, mascots, duck toss and 50/50, with all proceeds going to Wounded Warriors Canada.
Last year’s game was a sellout, so it’s suggested you get your tickets early at:
- Happy's Source For Sports (256 6th St. Courtenay)
- Comox Valley RCMP Detachment (Mon-Fri 9-3)
- CANEX (1625 Military Row, Lazo)
