Comox Valley RCMP is looking to identify a suspect following an armed robbery at a Courtenay business on Tuesday.

Police received a report of a robbery at the Lotusland Wellness Centre, located on the 300-block of 11th Street in Courtenay around 10pm. 

A lone male entered the business and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect demanded money from staff before fleeing the business on foot.

He’s described as caucasian, with a slender build and average height. He was wearing light-coloured pants, and a dark, long-sleeved hoodie with a blue or purple t-shirt over top. 

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with security camera or dashcam footage that may have captured the suspect, to contact them.

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with potentially relevant information or video footage to come forward
