Comox Valley RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify the driver of a pickup truck towing a large recreational trailer that may have information relevant to an ongoing property damage investigation in downtown Courtenay.

Shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Monday, June 29, damage occurred to the awning outside a business located on the 440 block of Duncan Avenue in Courtenay. Investigators believe the damage is consistent with a large vehicle making a right turn from Duncan Avenue onto 4th Street.

Security footage obtained from the area shows what appears to be a white full-size crew cab pickup truck towing a large white recreational trailer travelling eastbound on 4th Street toward Cliffe Avenue around the time the damage is believed to have occurred.

Police are attempting to identify and speak with the driver to determine whether they may have information that could assist the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at 250-338-1321 and refer to file number 2026-9890.

If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Comox Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
