Comox Valley RCMP are asking for the public’s help following a hit-and-run collision involving a motorcycle in Courtenay earlier this week.
Police say the crash happened Monday afternoon, around 2:10pm, at the intersection of Vanier Drive and Cliffe Avenue.
Investigators say a suspect vehicle fled the scene after colliding with a motorcyclist.
RCMP have obtained dashcam footage and believe the suspect vehicle is a grey, 4-door Honda Civic with an unknown licence plate.
The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on Highway 19A and is believed to have sustained front-end damage in the collision.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital by BC Emergency Health Services with what police describe as minor injuries.
Police are asking anyone that witnessed the collision, observed the suspect vehicle, or may have dash camera footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact the Comox Valley RCMP at (250) 338-1321 and refer to file 2026-6690.
