The Comox Valley RCMP is inviting residents to sit down for coffee and conversation as part of Police Week 2026.
The “Coffee with a Cop” events are designed to give community members a chance to connect with local officers in an informal setting, ask questions, share concerns, or simply stop by to say hello.
“Police Week is about building relationships, strengthening trust, and recognizing the importance of working together to keep our communities safe,” said Comox Valley RCMP Officer in Charge, Insp. Scott Mercer.
“Coffee with a Cop gives us a chance to step away from calls for service and connect with the people we serve in a more personal and informal way.”
Three events are planned across the Comox Valley, all starting at 9 a.m.
Tuesday at Mudsharks Coffee Bar in Courtenay, officers will be at The Mill Coffee in Comox on Wednesday, and on Thursday at Cumberland Grind Espresso and Smoothie Bar in Cumberland.
RCMP say there will be no speeches or formal presentations - just coffee and conversation, with everyone welcome to attend.
