Fresh, local food is available as the Comox Valley Farmers' Market sets up shop at Village Park, at the Comox Community Centre.
Beginning June 25th, the market will be open Wednesdays, from 3pm to 6pm, until August 27th.
The Comox Valley Farmers’ Market Association has been making, baking, growing, raising, and wild harvesting food in the region since 1992, and is known as a food-first market.
Market Association General Manager Twila Skinner says the market is about more than just food - it’s about supporting local farmers and fishers, building community, and increasing accessibility.
The new Comox market becomes the third location operated by the CVFMA, joining their year-round Saturday market in Courtenay and the Sunday market in Cumberland.
