There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning as the Comox Valley Airport launches new flights to Kelowna.
Pacific Coastal Airlines will operate flights from Sundays to Fridays, with the first today.
The airline says the expansion underscores its commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and providing travellers with convenient options for seamless journeys within British Columbia.
The new route will be serviced by Beechcraft 1900 aircraft.
Comox Valley Airport Commission CEO Mike Atkins says flights to the Okanagan have been in high demand.
He also says they’re eager to show off the nature and culture of the Comox Valley, which he calls the perfect gateway to Vancouver Island for travellers from the Interior.
You can book a flight at Pacific Coastal Airlines.
