Comox Strathcona Waste Management is looking to Campbell River residents today for final input on the long-term vision of solid waste management for the region.
The multi-year process will outline how garbage, recycling, yard, and food waste programs are managed over the next decade.
They’re setting up at the Ocean Resort Hotel and Event Centre from 5-7pm Tuesday night.
They’ll be at the Black Creek Community Hall on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 5-7pm.
The last plan was updated in 2012 and the CSWM service area population has grown 13% since then.
Vivian Schau, Senior Manager of Comox Strathcona Waste Management Services, says a sustainable future requires that we find new and innovative ways to reduce waste, extending the life of our landfills and reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.
Online, feedback will be collected until September 25th at Comox Strathcona Waste Management.
