Comox Road and Comox Avenue will re-open to two-way traffic at 5:00 pm on Friday.
The contractor will be working throughout the day to remove traffic control and equipment. Drivers can expect long eastbound traffic delays on Comox Hill as they position equipment in the Glacier View roundabout to clear the area. No westbound delays are expected.
The official detour route will be removed - the lights along the detour route, which have been timed to help traffic flow, will return to pre-project timing.
The intersection at the 17th St bridge and Comox Rd will be reinstated to three-way, enabling the eastbound through lane on Comox Rd to re-open.
Two-way bike and pedestrian traffic is possible, but you’re asked to use caution as the pedestrian and bike crossings on Comox Avenue have changed with the installation of the roundabouts at Glacier View Drive and Rodello Street.
