The Comox Valley Regional District is inviting residents and visitors to connect with nature, learn about local conservation efforts, and celebrate some of the electoral area’s most valued public spaces.
The Play in the Parks events aim to raise awareness of the role parks play in supporting healthy communities, protecting natural ecosystems, and providing opportunities for recreation, learning and connection.
Mark Harrison, Manager of Parks, says the events offer an opportunity to learn more about local parks, connect with neighbours, and celebrate the natural landscapes that contribute to the Comox Valley’s exceptional quality of life.
Staff will be at Dyke Road Park on Comox Road in Courtenay on Thursday, July 9 (12pm to 2pm) , and at Goose Spit Park (12pm to 2pm) on Thursday July 16.
