On Saturday, the Coldest Night Of The Year in-person fundraiser takes place across Canada, including here on the North Island.
The Campbell River & North Island Transition Society is raising funds to go towards their new build, Eagle Harbour, providing services and support for women and children fleeing violent domestic situations in our community.
The Comox Valley Transition Society is raising funds for the completion of Dairy’s Place, a new 40-unit apartment building that will open in April to house women and children who are fleeing violence.
Since 2011, the fundraiser has raised millions across Canada, where 100% of net proceeds stay local to support Coldest Night of the Year charity partners.
Events will take place in and around Native Sons Hall in Courtenay & at Rose Harbour in Campbell River.
