The City of Courtenay is hosting a drop-in Friday night to share progress on its new Strategic Cultural Plan.
They’ll be meeting at the Native Sons Hall from 5pm to 7pm when the project team will present the findings from community consultation to date - including the draft vision and preliminary strategic directions for the cultural plan.
The event will include a 20-minute presentation, interactive self-guided activities, and a live performance by local duo Café Olé featuring musical influences from Spain and Latin America.
Mayor Bob Wells said the cultural plan, once finalized, will provide guidance on the future of arts and culture in Courtenay.
A copy of the plan, along with a short survey, can be found at Strategic Cultural Plan following the event.
To confirm attendance at this free event, community members are encouraged to register via Eventbrite or email rcs@courtenay.ca.
