The City of Courtenay says Councillor David Frisch’s mandatory leave of absence has ended.
Frisch was placed on mandatory leave of absence pursuant to certain requirements of the Community Charter, which applies to a Council member who is charged with an offence under the criminal code.
As Councillor Frisch is no longer subject to charges, his Council duties are automatically restored.
However, Frisch has informed the City that he has started medical leave and expects to return to full Council duties in April.
The City says it will be making no further comment on the matter.
