The City of Campbell River is taking over control of animal services.
As of July 1st, the City will assume duties from the current contractor, Coastal Animal Control Services of BC.
Mayor Kermit Dahl thanked the team “for their years of service, professionalism, diligence, and connection with the community.”
He says they are working together to enable a smooth transition and ensure that the community’s animal control needs continue to be met.
While some contact information will be updated, the City Pound will continue to operate at 490 Merecroft Road.
All animal control details will be updated for the public on the City website once the service transitions to the City is complete.
