The City of Campbell River provided an update on Tuesday night’s landslide.
The buildings at 738 and 758 Island Hwy S were evacuated as a precautionary measure after the slide, which happened about 7pm on Tuesday.
No one was hurt and the area was secured that night.
The City continues to monitor the site and plans to work with geotechnicians to determine stability following the landslide, but officials say it poses no immediate safety concerns to residents in the area.
Experts are being brought in to confirm the stability of the site, but no further evacuations are deemed necessary at this time.
General updates for the public will be provided by the City when available.
