Honesty and integrity go a long way.

A local youth Comox Valley is being praised for finding and promptly returning a lost wallet.

Comox Valley RCMP say they were impressed by the youth's outstanding actions; not only expressing their thanks but also offering up a special reward to the young man as a token of appreciation.

“The wallet contained over $700 in cash and thanks to Rylan, it is back in the hands of its rightful owner.”, said Constable  Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP.

“This act of kindness demonstrates the good citizenship that is in our community, and it should inspire other young people.”

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
