If you’re getting things out to the curb this morning, some changes to Campbell River’s Curbside Organics Collection begin today.

The City has introduced a new 360-litre limit, per household, per week, to the program.

Campbell River has provided unlimited weekly yard waste collection for years but says the current system is no longer financially sustainable.

“The City is focused on delivering residents a high-quality service through the Curbside Collection program, which offers regular, reliable collection and promotes waste diversion through composting,” says Drew Hadfield, Director of Operations.

“Most residents are already well within the 360-litre limit and this change helps ensure that pick-up takes place on schedule throughout the summer for all households in the program.”

To sign up for curbside collection reminders you can download the Campbell River Recycles app for Android or iPhone.
