The Canada Post strike is on hold.
CUPW gave notice it was set to strike at midnight last night and has now called for a nationwide overtime ban.
55 thousand workers are being called on to refuse to work any more than eight hours in a day and refuse to work more than forty hours in a week.
The union says the move helps minimize disruptions to the public, and lost days to members.
Additional actions may take place in the future including but not limited to: if Canada Post changes working conditions, suspends benefits, or begins layoffs.
Canada Post issued offers earlier in the week and CUPW says negotiators continue to review and analyze the content and will provide more details soon.
The carrier says it will continue operating but customers may experience delays.
