The City of Campbell River Economic Development’s Modern Entrepreneur Series is returning with a new line-up of events for the local business community in 2022, starting with a speaker event and workshop next week. These two events are aimed at helping employers develop strategies for recruiting and retaining employees in today’s competitive market.

Learn to reboot your job offerings through a more comprehensive understanding of why employees leave, by learning the benefits, perks and workplace cultures that employees are really seeking, and how employers, right here locally, are adapting and seeing positive change.

The event at the Tidemark Theatre will be an inspiring evening of talks. The keynote speaker will be Crystal from Talent Collective. Shorter talks from Kelsi at Upper Island Counselling, Christine from Stonehouse Teas and Chris from North Island Employment Foundations will provide local context.

The Tidemark event is on Wednesday, April 20th and there will be a workshop Thursday, April 21st, at the Campbell River Museum. Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
