Campbell River’s 7th Annual Loop day is approaching fast.
It takes place on Sunday, May 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Participants can pedal, walk, run, or roll their way around the 28 km loop and experience Campbell River’s Forest, River, Ocean, and Greenways.
The City says the day will be filled with prizes, giveaways, entertainment, and outdoor adventure, calling it the perfect way to get moving, connect with others, and celebrate the ecosystems where we live.
Of note, the City is bringing back a temporary bike lane on Pier Street, between the Maritime Heritage Centre and the crosswalk at Robert Ostler Park, in support of Loop Day.
Temporary markers will turn the parking lane on the water side of Pier Street into a two-way bike lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The City says the temporary bike lane will connect the existing bike lane on Highway 19A to the south and will help cyclists travel downtown more safely.
