Campbell River’s Recreation and Culture Department is partnering with the Downtown BIA during the Big Truck Parade to offer some fun activities for families to participate in.

Show off your gingerbread decorating skills at their fourth annual Gingerbread House Competition.

The rec and culture team notes that your design does not need to be a  house and competitors are welcome and encouraged to uniquely design their entry.

Entries will be displayed at the Tidemark Theatre to vote on during the week leading up to the Big Truck Parade.

Entry forms can be picked up at the Community Centre or Sportsplex and there are different categories and prizes for adults, children, and families.

Space is limited and you have to register before November 22nd - find more info www.campbellriver.ca

Keeping Our Word

The word "éy7á7juuthem" means “Language of our People” and is the ancestral tongue of the Homalco, Tla’amin, Klahoose and K’ómoks First Nations, with dialectic differences in each community.

It is pronounced "eye-ya-jooth-hem."
