Campbell river residents will soon be able to get back into the Sportsplex.

The city says it will reopen for use on Monday, October 31.

Staff will once again be offering a slate of fitness classes, programming, and rentals for the whole community to enjoy.

Due to supply chain issues, there is a delay in completing repairs to the weight room and sports courts.

These areas will be closed until further notice, but its hoped they will be ready by the end of November.

The weight room in the Community Centre will close on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Robin Mitchell, Recreation & Culture Manager, says all programs and services will be free for opening day, October 31.

The day will end with a fireworks display brought to the community by the Willow Point Firefighters Association.
