The City of Campbell River has unveiled plans for Spirit Square this summer.

Weekly summertime performances and special events are set to take place June 4th to August 30th.

The June lineup will also include Quadra-raised, Toronto-based fiddle virtuoso Jaron Freeman-Fox; new Campbell River resident and violinist Nadia Logist; and Cortes singer-songwriter Jemma & the Good Thing, joined by Kootenay singer-songwriter Robbie Bankes.

The evening River Concerts series go Wednesdays, starting June 5th with Big Band Night, which will feature nearly 40 local musicians from the Carihi Jazz Band and Strathcona Big Band.

Spirit Square will also play host to community celebrations, including National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21st, Campbell River Pride Festival on June 22nd, and Canada Day on June 30th and July 1st.
