Campbell River School District has announced the top academic graduates and recipients of the Governor General’s Academic Medals from the Class of 2021 and Class of 2022.
Carihi graduates, Delaney Ewing (2021) and Gillianne Stewardson (2022), and Timberline Secondary graduates, Izaak Read (2021) and Alli Horsthuis (2022) had the highest academic grade point average for their grade 11 and grade 12 courses.
The Governor General’s Academic Medal is awarded to one student from each secondary school across the country to recognize their outstanding scholastic achievements and to encourage academic excellence.
SD 72 Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Morrow says it’s a tremendous achievement for the students and wishes the four the best as they continue their post-secondary education.
