Four Campbell River arts and cultural organizations could continue using city-owned properties for a one-dollar lease fee under proposed five-year agreements.

The City has issued notice of its intention to renew leases with the Tidemark Theatre Society, Campbell River Arts Community Council, Campbell River and District Public Art Gallery, and Campbell River Maritime Heritage Society.

Together, the properties have estimated fair-market lease values of more than $803,000 per year.

The Tidemark Theatre property on Shoppers Row accounts for more than $415,000 of that amount, while the Maritime Heritage Society property is valued at more than $307,000 annually.

The Art Gallery property is valued at nearly $54,000 per year, and the Arts Community Council property at $27,000.

The proposed agreements would run for five years into 2031.

The City would remain the registered owner of all four properties.
